Many of you have already seen my initial post about the Keurig 2.0 K500 Brewing System that I received back in October. Well, I’ve had some time with it, so I wanted to update you on how it’s doing here.
There are currently three different models sold at Walmart. The K300, K400 and K500. They all have different price points, so check out the features to help you decide which one is best for you.

Keurig brewers are not just for coffee lovers! Brewers can produce a variety of iced or hot beverages, including coffee, tea, cocoa, cider, iced beverages, holiday, specialty, and naturals. There’s also Support. Keurig understands that there have been some frustrations with consumers and their older K-Cup packs. Brewer owners can contact Keurig by calling Customer Care at 866-950-2326 and have their incompatible K-Cups packs replaced!
New brewer owners can even activate their warranty to receive 2 free boxes with their next purchase of K-Cup boxes.
So far, we’ve had great coffee, teas, and even juices made with our Keurig 2.0 Brewing System! There’s no doubt that it gives us a great flavored drink regardless of what we’re using, but I do have a couple of issues with the system that may have been an oversight in future development. First, when we brew the Carafe, I set it for a 6 cup brew, and when it’s complete, I get only two cups out of it. If I set it to brew a second time, I get more. The other issue that I have is the way it dispenses water now. With the old systems I could set a size, and hit “Brew” and it would dispense hot water for me for say, a cup of tea, or in my case, pre-heating a thermos for my girls’ lunch box. With my new system, I have to press and hold the button until I’ve dispensed the amount of hot water that I need (only up to 6oz). The reason that this is frustrating to me is because I can no longer work on getting other lunch components together while the brewer is doing it’s job. Morning time is precious to me, and those couple of minutes sometimes make a big difference.
All in all, I’m pretty pleased with the beverages that we get from our Keurig Brewing System, and we will definitely be using it for a long time!
