Get Ready For Your Holiday Make Over!!!

While I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, I love playing with color and different palettes for the different seasons, and holidays! I had a lot of fun picking out new colors for the holidays! With all the parties coming up, I knew it had to be all about sparkle! I couldn’t wait to try it out! I went to my local Walmart to see what cool stuff I could find!

Here is what I did!

Me, before: Before

  1. I started out with moisturizer and then theConcealer and Color Correction from Hard Candy. Then applied a great foundation. I loved the Flower Liquid Foundation now it’s cooler and the air is not humid, I don’t have to worry about sweating my makeup off!
  2. Once I’ve got everything evened out and ready to go, I stared on my eyes. I chose to use the Sassy Eyes kit from Hard Candy, and used the second shadow on the left for an all over my eye sparkle. I picked a medium grey for my lid color. Not too light, not too dark, and pretty neutral to go with any outfit. I used a very small amount of the Loreal LUMI in the inside and outer points of my eyes to bring them out just a bit. The highlight and contour cheek duo worked great! Sweep on and blend quickly and easily!

  3. It’s time to complete the look. Eyeshadow is on, and now we go to eyeliner. I used the Hard Candy Gold Glitter Eyeliner on my bottom eyelid, and the e.l.f. Cream eyeliner for the top lid. My new favorite mascara is this Voluminous Superstar from Loreal! It’s a two step mascara, #1 being a sort of primer, thickening and lengthening your lashes, and #2 is the top coat in jet black to complete your eyes! I chose Cover Girl Colorlicious Lipstick in Seduce Scarlet 310!
  4. Finally, the sparkle! I picked up this glitter palette from Hard Candy and thought it was PERFECT for completing the holiday look! It’s good for all over use, but I thought it would work best on my lips. I took my lip brush and didn’t brush, but rather dabbed it on all over.

That’s everything! I actually wore this out that day to go Christmas shopping with some kids and teachers from the girls’ school for their Angel Tree. I received a lot of compliments on the look, and I know you would too! Everything I used, I picked up at my local Walmart store but if you don’t want to deal with the shopping crowds, you can also find it on Walmart.com! What do you think? Is this a look you would try?
