DIY- Paint Your Own Thanksgiving Decorations

It really seems like Fall has slipped by without much thought. All of the Fall decor was in and out of my local stores before Halloween was over, which made for a very difficult post on specifically that… Decorating your home for Thanksgiving. I couldn’t find anything I wanted in my local stores, so I took matters into my own hands.

When I last went to the Walmart home office, we were shown some really cool things coming from the crafts department, and I fell in love with the burlap canvases. I know burlap is all the rage this year, from all kinds of inside decor to fluffy outdoor wreaths, and the canvases are just cool to add some of those elements in other ways in the house.

What do you need?

My girls got home from school today and painted up the canvases I had left over, and they loved it. They saw mine and decided to make their own Thanksgiving Designs.

I hope this has helped give you an idea for your Thanksgiving Decorating! It was so hard to find anything for Fall Decor since all of the Christmas things moved onto shelves very quickly this year. Next year, I’ll have to be sure and buy my decor early!

If you like my idea, and decide to try it for yourself, I want to see pictures! Share a link in the comments below!

Have fun, and Happy Thanksgiving!
