I love makeup, and I love changing out my makeup with the seasons. I have a lot of earth tones for Fall, jewel tones for Winter, and light and fresh colors for Spring and Summer.
We had fun time during out last trip to Walmart Home Office, checking out the new Summer products coming out! There were some super cute, and bright nail colors, that I loved!
I was asked to share some tips for easy and fresh looks for Summer, so I was off to Walmart to find some great products to share with you!
First thing you need is a good Foundation. I liked the About Face Foundation with Primer from Drew Barrymore’s Flower line. It’s not heavy, and the color is pretty smooth.
Next we looked at eyes. I grabbed a Maybelline Shadow Trio in Green Gardens. I loved the pink and green combo. I also grabbed my favorite Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner Pen.
For lips, I loved the Lip Service Lip Butter, in Tempting Tulip, also from the Flower line.
I also decided to do my nails, and used Salon Perfect Nail Polish in this awesome Flamingo Flair color! It’s totally Summery!!!
Getting a fresh Summer Look is easy, and with the Maybelline Trios, they’ve already got your eye color set up for you! Make sure you have clean makeup brushes ready!
Start with the lightest color, and apply all over your lid and brow bone. This is your highlight. Next take the middle color and apply to your eye lid. Last, take the darkest color and lightly apply to the eyelid crease. Blend it!
Next take your Eye Liner, and line your eyelid as close to your lash line as possible. I love the fine tip on this Liquid Liner Pen. It makes it easier to get a straight, and thin line!
If you use mascara, you can apply that now!
For lips, I went with a lighter color. Tempting Tulip was a great color for this look!
Of course a Summer Look isn’t complete without a great manicure. Naturally, right before I went to do this post, I broke a couple of nails while doing dishes, but hey.. You’ll get the idea!
Salon Perfect came out with some awesome colors this Summer Season, and I had fun trying them all. I ultimately went with Flamingo Flair because it is so bright, and totally encompasses how I feel about Summer. Love it! Top it off with a shiny clear top coat, and you are all set!!!!
