Cleaning floors is one of my most hated chores, especially in the bathrooms. I hate mopping the tiles, because I always feel like I’m just pushing water and bacteria around even more. I also despise scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees… It’s just painful. Swiffer has a product that should help make things a bit easier for cleaning, and even sanitizing your hard floors! Their new product, Swiffer SteamBoost is a joint venture between Swiffer and BISSELL. The Swiffer SteamBoost has a water reservoir to fill up, and uses steam in conjunction with Swiffer cleaning pads to clean more deeply than a regular mop & bucket.  It’s about the size of a Swiffer WetJet, so it’s very easy to handle, and maneuver into smaller places.

I got the chance to try one of these out here at home, and I have to say, I do like it. I like how small and light it is. It’s fairly easy to get around and behind the toilet in the bathroom. The kids can even use it, no problem. The steam feature is great! I feel like I am able to sanitize while I clean, instead of having to take a separate step to do it. The only thing that I wish is that it had reusable pads instead of the disposable ones. While, not very expensive, they do still cost money if you go through them fast enough, and they are something else that I need to throw away. There are some pluses to the pads that are available though. You can really see how gross your floors are and get rid of the germs. They also come in scented options. We got to try one, and it really smelled nice as the steam was going.

The Swiffer SteamBoost launched exclusively in Walmart stores in June, and will be available on Walmart.com and other retailers starting in July. Get one before everyone else at your local Walmart store!
