Baked Treats for Valentine's Day

We love to bake, and holidays are always a great excuse to make some really nice baked treats. Valentine’s Day baked goodies are especially fun, because what goes better with showing someone you love them, than heart shaped cookies and chocolate???!!!

This year, for Valentine’s Day, we got to try out a couple of baked goods! We tried out the Valentine’s Heart Decorating Kit and had some fun with that, and we also baked the Nestle Toll House Valentine’s Morsels and Cookie Brownie Kit. We had so much fun!

FamilyVCookiesThe biggest hit with the girls was the Decorating Kit. They had so much fun decorating their cookies with all of the fun icings, and sprinkles. We all got to make our own cookies after dinner one night, decorating our cookie however we wanted. One of my girls even used the Create Your Own Conversation Heart from Brach’s on top of her cookie! We all giggled over our little creations, but in the end, we all agreed that they turned out great! This was a really fun project to do with the kids!

minicookiebrowniesNow the Nestle Toll House Cookie Brownie Kit was pretty awesome too! They were so easy to make! We used our mini muffin cup baking pan to make these, and they turned out really well! I loved that they were bite sized, so they were a perfect size to put in my girls lunch box!

I totally forgot to take photos of it, but we also had fun making chocolate chip pancakes with the Nestle Toll House Valentine’s Morsels! The special red morsels added a bit of festive color to our breakfast! You can also use them in the Nestle Toll House Cookie Brownie Kit if you’d like! Ours were long gone before I made our Cookie/Brownie mini muffins, otherwise I totally would have!

Check out your local Walmart Stores to see what fun items they have in stock and ready for you to make for Valentine’s Day! The would make an extra special treat for your kids, or even for your spouse! If you happen to make any of these this year, be sure to share your recipes or photos in the comments below!
