My hubby was given a gift card to Zócalo Restaurant for his birthday from a good friend of ours. We had never heard of Zócalo, and we both love Mexican food, so this was going to be a real treat for us! We made reservations for 4pm, the day after Valentine’s Day thinking it would be less busy, and it was a better time for my parents to come watch the girls. 

We dressed up a little, since we don’t often get to, and headed out. Parking was actually very easy to find on the street next to the restaurant. We walked in, and were seated right away. The atmosphere was really wonderful. Our server, Fredi, was so awesome. He was very attentive and made sure we always had what we needed! He did explain a couple of items on the menu, and made some really great suggestions for my drinks, and our meal.We ended up with the Camarones Habaneros for the appetizer, which was so good. I ordered the Salmon Cozumel, and my husband ordered the Tres Tacos. Oh my goodness, the food was divine! It was the best Mexican food that we have ever had at a restaurant.  

All in all, it was a superb dinner, with exceptional service, and it turned out to be a perfect night out for us.  Thank you to our server Fredi and the rest of the staff at Zócalo Sacramento! You made our Valentine’s Dinner so amazing!
