Review & Giveaway: The Pampered Chef

** This giveaway is now closed **

If you know me, then you know that I used to be am a Pampered Chef addict! As much as I try to get away from it, I just can’t. I love all the cool tools, and gadgets and gizmos, but I think most of all, I love their Stoneware. When Pampered Chef offered me a chance to check out one of their coolest pieces of Stoneware, of course I had to say “Yes!”

The Review:

I was sent their  Cranberry Deep Covered Baker! The exciting part: The Deep Covered Baker will be released in White March 1st!

I’ve never been a fan of the color coated stones, until now. I’ve always liked the classic stones, just because I was worried about chipping of the paint, or scratching, but it’s surprisingly durable!

Along with the Deep Covered Baker, I was sent a copy of their Season’s Best Cookbook. This cookbook is one of the best that I have ever received from Pampered Chef! There are some amazing recipes in this cookbook, and it’s only $1!!! Yes, $1!  Well, after looking through this cookbook, I was on a mission! That mission, which I chose to accept was to make dinner for my family in this baker. We chose the Grilled Chicken Penne Al Fresco, but made just a couple of changes to it. It was delicious and made in the microwave! Yes, you read that correctly.. in the microwave!

Gettin’ things cookin’

pc4First things first. I took the stoneware out of the box. Rinsed if off with HOT water and went over it with a rag to make sure and get any dust out of it.

Next, I sliced up my garlic cloves. The recipe called for 4 cloves, but we’re a garlic loving family, so I used a whole bulb. I put them in the baker, along with my tomatoes, covered it and placed it in the microwave. After a few minutes, I took it out, crushed up the tomatoes and added the rest of the ingredients, except the chicken, covered it up, and put it back in the microwave until the pasta was cooked thoroughly.

Once the pasta was done, I took it out of the microwave, added some chopped, fresh basil, fresh grated parmesan cheese, and the smoked chicken. I mixed it up really well, and served it! We actually had my sister in law and her husband here that day, so it was perfect for the taste test! Every one loved it! They told me that if they hadn’t actually watched me make the dish, they would not have guessed that it was made in the microwave! This meal was so easy and inexpensive to make, I was just amazed! I liked the Cranberry Stoneware too, because this meal was actually made for Valentine’s Day, and I think it really added to atmosphere I was going for. pc6

We still have a few more recipes in this cookbook that we are going to try, but I can only imagine that they’re going to be just as yummy!

Ok, I’m sure you are just waiting for me to get to the good news…

  1. I got a Mini Muffin Pan for Christmas, and I believe it saves money, because:
    1) I make smaller muffins so the kids don’t waste them.
    2) I use free/almost free brownie mix, cake mix, etc. and make really fancy-looking treats to take to potlucks and parties instead of buying something.
    3) I’ve made very yummy hors de ouvres (Is that how you spell it?) for parties, and people can’t believe I didn’t buy them.

  2. I don’t have any but I think the stoneware muffin tin would be great!! Everything always gets stuck in my muffin pan and I don’t think that would happen with the stoneware.

  3. I have a potato peeler that I bought from Pampered Chef quite a few years ago and it is the easiest, fastest best peeler I have ever had. I was telling everyone YOU HAVE TO GET THIS! Thank you very much!

  4. hmm…I have a couple of things I love…I have the egg slicer which I love for adding the finishing touch to my potato salad..and the shortening measuring cup which is awesome if you don’t want to have crisco everywhere…also I have the tool that scoops out tomatoes/strawberries if you want to make something fancy with them! 5. I have to say as silly as this sounds the scrapper saves me tons of time in getting dried on gunk off my dishes and counter tops plus saves me from having to put icky chemicals on them to try to get the food off!

  6. I am a huge fan of the medium round stone with handles. Their stones make my frozen pizzas taste soooooawesome!

  7. I am a huge fan of the adjustable measuring spoons and am in love with my mini-serving spatula. If the house were on fire, I’d get the family, the dog, the pictures, the measuring spoons, and the spatula out. =)

    Thanks for the great give-a-way!

  8. The Pampered Chef Test Kitchens are committed to developing timesaving tools, tips and recipes that enhance mealtime and suit busy lifestyles. I do not own any pampered chef products. I think the deep covered baker in Cranberry is so beautiful. I do not even own a covered baker. Thanks for the chance.

  9. I am SUCH a Pampered Chef fan! I have many of their products. Of all their great stuff I realy like the Cookware: 12″ Skillet #2865. It is my all time favorite pan. If you are looking for quality cookware then look no further. It is durable, cooks evenly, does not warp and is a breeze to clean. That’s my 2 cents worth!

  10. I really like the stoneware muffin tin.. Would be great to bake choc. chip or banana or pumpkin choc chip muffins in this!

  11. I have several things from Pamered Chef that I love – my strawberry huller which saves my fingernails all summer long from pulling off those green caps and my pizza stone. I use it all the time and just leave it in the oven.

  12. I LOVE my Measure-All® Cup. It saves me time because it measures dry and liquid ingredients without dirtying lots of separate measuring cups meaning less time spent washing dishes. I love it.

  13. I don’t have anything from Pampered Chef but heard great things about there stuff, I would get the pizza stone to save me money

  14. The mixing bowl measuring cup saves me a lot of time and dirty dishes b/c I mix everything and pour.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  15. My large stone Pampered Chef baker saves me money because I make my own Lasagna in it, and it’s much better and cheaper than frozen – it saves me time because of the quick and easy clean-up. It’s one of my favorite things in the kitchen!

  16. How can you choose just one? I LOVE Pampered Chef! I probably get the most use from my food chopper, but I also love their garlic press. Pampered Chef products are of the highest quality and not a day goes by that I don’t use at least something that they make! (Earlier today my son and I used the apple wedger to make applesauce!)

  17. I don’t own any of their products, but I think the stoneware muffin tin would be a time-saver. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I LOVE the food chopper. I think that I need to have two of them. When mine is dirty, I am always needing it again! I love it!

  19. I LOVE Pampered Chef! I used to be a consultant!
I have TONS of stoneware and use it almost every day. But I think my FAVORITE thing is the micro cookers. I have the rice cooker – makes PERFECT rice, we use it ALL the time. I also LOVE the smaller micro cooker – steamed veggies come out great, in just 1-2 minutes!

  20. Either the Jar Opener or the Easy Opener would save me a lot of time. When my husband is overseas, I have no one to open jars for me! I usually struggle with a jar for several minutes.

  21. HI. I LOVE my Pampered Chef garlic press. it is so easy and makes it so quick to mince garlic for any dish. I use it all the time. also, my rectangle stones are wonderful. Bread comes out so well. I would love to have the baker–thanks for the chance to win!!!

  22. I can’t believe you made that in the microwave! I would love to try that. The tool that I use the most is the vegetable peeler. It is comfortable to hold and is easy to use.

  23. I love my Food Chopper. My SIL bought me my first one. When it broke (my daughter dropped it) I had to buy me a new one because it’s so handy

  24. My son is an Apple juice addict. The Quick stir pitcher is super easy for him to use, and there’s no mess.

  25. Hi! I LOVE Pampered Chef too!!! I just got their complete cookware set and knife set. Toooo awesome! I love their cookware because things cook so much better, and faster. Incredible!

I’d love to get the baker!! I didn’t care of the red color and I’m psyched that they are making it in white. Pick me please!! =)

  26. I have their chopper – the one with the plunger that you hit repeatedly. It saves me a TON of time when I’m chopping onions, garlic, nuts, or any other item. I especially love the fact that you can choose how big or small you want the pieces to be just by stopping sooner or chopping longer. With this marvelous tool I’ve been able to chop onions to such a small size that my finicky daughter doesn’t even know that they are in my dishes, so she doesn’t fuss about it. : )

  27. I love the little black plastic micro cooker. I love to steam and cook my veggies in it! It’s a wonderful wonderful thing!!!

  28. The Easy Adjustable Measuring Cup sounds like it would save time AND space in our kitchen drawers!

  29. I don’t have any Pampered Chef products but I sure would like to. Starting with the ice cream scoop. My son just recently broke mine and it takes forever to dish it up with a spoon.

  30. The Master Scraper looks like something I could use! My spatulas never seem to work right. 🙁 Thank you for offering this giveaway! eyeslikesugar [at] gmail [dot] com.

  31. I currently use their wooden spoons for most of my cooking. I also have one of their cookbooks. Their parties are fun. Thank you for the giveaway.

  32. I have never tried any products from pampered chef But I looked at t he site and what caught my eye was the 1353 Rectangular Baker – White — I think this would be great for casseroles and save time by cooking everything in one dish
    .

  33. I have quite a few Pampered Chef items, but I just bought my husband the apple slicer and it is amazing! It is so fast and makes me eat apples a lot more than I used to. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  36. I LOVE Pampered Chef products. One of my favorite products is the chopper. I use it to chop onions, chicken, vegetables, etc. I like it so much I have gone through 3 of them in the last 10 years. Pampered Chef stuff Rocks.
