Weather can totally dictate your daily beauty regimen. It really does here in coastal NC, with the heat and really bad humidity. It’s been in the upper 90’s with extreme humidity, making it feel like it’s in the 100’s. That makes us super sweaty almost as soon as we walk out the door! Summers here call for extreme measures.
Here are a few of my Summer Must Have items and why:
1. Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a quick and easy way to refresh your hair in between regular washes. Dry Shampoo absorbs extra oils and can help keep it more manageable too. It’s great if you have been outside in the heat and humidity and have to run to a last minute meetup or appointment! If your hair frizzes easily in the humidity, this is great stuff! I love the Suave line of Dry Shampoo!
Baked Eyeshadow is great because it offers such rich pigmentation. They apply very smoothly and are easily blendable. Baked eyeshadows are pretty long-lasting and can be worn wet for a vibrant effect or dry for sheer pigmentation, offering a variety of gorgeous eye looks! I LOVE the Hard ♥️ Candy Shadow Spheres, especially the nudes n’ roses palette!
3. Translucent Finishing Powder
Translucent Finishing Powder is awesome! It’s a weightless, sheer powder that provides an invisible way to set and extend makeup wear… yes… even through the heat of Summer. Bright, Floral, Lightweight! All great things to look for in a Summer lip color! This year, matte lips are in, and there are some pretty colors to choose from! These are just a few of my favorite items that I keep on hand during Summer… Of course, you’ll need a good mascara, waterproof if you plan to swim with it on… and a foundation that has a good SPF level is a must as well!
