Fall Makeup Makeover for Under $35

Fall is officially here, and that means it’s time to refresh your makeup collection! I’ll show you how I update my makeup for the season, and how you can too, all with cosmetics from Walmart!

Gone are the pastels, and bright colors, and in comes the earth tones and bold colors. I love to wear the greens and browns more during the Fall and jewel tones/greys more in the Winter time, but either work depending on the situation and wardrobe!

Here’s a quick how-to of what I do for the season… This is a great day to evening look with minimal touch up!

Start with a clean face! I love the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Cloths. I picked out the cucumber ones this time, but I also LOVE the grapefruit ones! I use Hard Candy Primer to smooth out my face and give everything a good base. Not pictured here is my foundation. I typically use a mineral powder foundation in the Summer, but in the Fall/Winter when it’s not so hot, I switch over to a liquid foundation. I’ll add a little bit of color with a light bronzer, and cover everything with a sheer powder…

Next, I work on my eyes. I love having fun with color when I can, but for this demonstration, I’ll go with the Smokey Eye kit from Hard Candy. I followed the guide in the kit with the top row of shadows to get my smokey eye look. It’s great for work, or going out in the evening.

Once my shadow is done, it’s on to eye liner and lashes! I used a black pencil on my top lash line and a dark blue on my bottom lash line. Be sure to use the smudge tip to smooth out the liner! Now I know there are some really expensive mascaras out there, but I truly love the Falsies BIG EYE mascara from Maybelline. You can see the difference between my eye lashes between mascara and none.

Last but not least, we go with lips. I love darker and deeper reds during this time of year. I picked up 2 different lip colors from Revlon and a great lip gloss, also from Revlon I love how subtle the difference is, but they are all pretty awesome.

So, what do you think? I was able to update my makeup, with the 3 lip colors, and two eye shadow palettes, for about $35… Great price for the next several months of wear!

How do you update your makeup for the upcoming Fall/Winter season?
