I’ve been checking out the Straight Talk service and an iPhone 5S for the last month, thanks to Straight Talk and Walmart. I have to say, it’s been an interesting, yet pleasantly surprising experience. I think I’ve done more driving through different areas in the last month, to test out the service areas. So far, the service has been pretty good, and the data speeds have been surprisingly fast! I think there’s an unspoken stigma that month to month or inexpensive prepaid plans are inferior to the big companies and contract service plans. Kind of a “You get what you pay for” idea, but I’m finding this to be less and less true.  I have only found one area, out in the country, where cell towers are scarce, that service has dropped to 2 bars, or less. Other than that, it’s been really decent.

Remember, Straight Talk is no contract, so you won’t get locked into 2 years of a service that you can’t use!

I’m still fighting through this iPhone of mine. Being a very dedicated Android user, it’s not easy getting used to it, and I find myself using it more for phone calls and Facebook than anything else… My kids have figured out how to use it better than I have, and that’s just fine with me! Hee hee! The service though, I’m digging it so far!
