Getting Decorated for the 4th of July!

The 4th of July is coming up, and I am very excited to celebrate with all of our friends! We’ve got a lot to do to get ready, but I had to start with getting a few decorations up in the house! Walmart gave me $25 to have fun with, so I did something that I’ve always wanted to do with my yard.. I bought PINWHEELS!!!

Ok… so I bought a couple of other things too, but I have always wanted to line my walkway with flag colored pinwheels, and after some diligent searching, I found them in the toy section for about $1 a piece. I ended up buying 12 pinwheels, a Glittery 3D star to hang in the arch way between the family room and the kitchen, and a garland star shaped wreath for the front door! It was the perfect size, since I can’t put large wreaths on my front door. It has this weird shelf on it, that I wish I could take off, but I can’t.

I was a little surprised that I didn’t find more Independence Day decorations, but I like what I did find! I’m hoping to find some time to get some crafty things done. I’d love to make some centerpieces for my tables and maybe even a red, white & blue floral arrangement for our  kitchen island. I absolutely love decorating up the house for holidays!

All of the items I got were from my local Walmart store! Check yours for some great prices on Independence Day Decorations, and entertaining items!

What are your plans for this Independence Day Weekend? Will you be decorating your house? What are some of your favorite crafts? What are your favorite ways to spend Independence day??
