Mommy Brain Reports on- A Friend Fur All Seasons.

The Game Factory sent me a copy of their new game, just released today for the Wii, Build A Bear, A Friend Fur All Seasons, to try out with my girls, and they loved it. The game is so cute!

The girls were able to choose their own Build A Bear character, and customize it for the game. Your character is invited to a big party on Palace Island, but along the way, you have to make stops on four season-themed islands. On each of these islands, you will meet and interact with different characters in order to find different accessories for your player, and find puzzle pieces that will complete your map to Palace Island. It’s Rated E fur Everyone, and my girls totally love it!! The part that I love… there are multiplayer games in the playground! Oh, and the game is tri-lingual! You can play in English, Spanish or French! How cool is that!?!

I only have 2 complaints about the game, neither of which hinder the fun or the game’s performance at all… One, I couldn’t fit Alexandra’s name in the profile maker! It only accepted 8 characters, and she hates being just “Alex”. Yes, at age 3, she’s extremely picky about what she’s called… and Two, when you get to choose a sound for your character, there aren’t many to choose from. There are 9 spots, for sounds, and it seems like two of them are repeated several times. Other than that though, the game is a lot of fun, and very simple for the girls to play, with our help, of course. 🙂

One thing I just had to mention, because I love all things about giving to charity. The Game Factory is hosting a charity event tonight, November 11th at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern California. Many celebrities, including Tori Spelling, Melissa Joan Hart, several actors from Hannah Montana and many more will be there building bears and autographing copies of the BAB Wii game. During the event the celebrities and the children of the RMHCSC will also be able to play the Wii game. Soon after, the Game Factory will auction the bears and Wii games off on Ebay to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. The event isn’t open to the public, but the bears and signed games will be available on Ebay November 23-December 3, and we would love to raise some money for RMHCSC! I will have a link directly to the Ebay auctions as soon as it is made available to me!

In the meanwhile, check out The Game Factory for all of the specs on the Build A Bear game, and if you’d like a copy for yourself, you can purchase it for only $39.99 from the Reviews store!!
