Last minute Mother's Day

You know, us Moms don’t *need* something expensive, or even something bought from a store as a Mother’s Day gift! If you haven’t yet gotten anything for Mom, don’t worry! You can MAKE a couple of super easy gifts right at home! All you need is some paper, a pen and some imagination!

Now, quick! Think of all the things Mom has ever asked you to do, but you’ve never really wanted to … Think of the chores that you really know mom could use a hand with… Write them down on a piece of paper, and fill up that list! Now, take some paper and cut it into 2″x3″ strips and neatly write one item from your list on each of those pieces of paper. Fold them up and put them in a jar. Decorate the jar with ribbon, stickers or markers.

Another option is to make a coupon book with 3.5″x5″ index cards. Write an item from your list on each card. Have a grown up help you punch 2 holes down the left side of each card so you can make a booklet out of them. Make a cover card that says “Mom’s Coupon Book”. Find some pretty ribbon and  tie up the sides. Make sure Mom knows that whenever she wants to, she can redeem any of the cards for help around the house. you can throw in a couple of cards for a hug or movie time, or time at the park, fun things that Mom can do with you too!

It’s not hard to impress us Moms! I promise! Helping us keep up with the chores is something that we will always love!
