Sprout Organic Baby Food

Once in a while, I come across something that I only WISH I knew about, or even existed when my girls were little babies. Certain toys, gear, and even food come out with new and cool features. One of these products is Sprout Organic Baby Food.

Eating organic foods has become more and more important to our family, and if we could’ve started them on organic foods from the beginning, I would’ve been so much happier.

Sprout Organic Baby Food was co-founded by Food Network Star Chef Tyler Florence. He was inspired to create Sprout by his friends with children. He couldn’t understand the lack of flavor in baby food, and from this he created a pure, nutritious, and delicious baby food in a reclosable pouch that is convenient to take anywhere.

The entire line of Sprout Baby Foods is 100% organic and features flavors and ingredients that reflect Tyler’s culinary expertise. Sprout is also the only complete line of baby food with convenient resealable pouches. Sprout claims that because their food cooks inside the pouch, all of the flavors, textures and nutrition are maintained. Their unique cooking process allows Sprout to provide a full line of recipes with vegetables, grains, meat poultry, and other wholesome ingredients for complete and balanced nutrition for babies.

Another  really cool thing about Sprout is that their pouches were developed with safety and the environment in mind. Their pouches are shatterproof, and they weigh less than glass jars, so they cost less to transport. They also encourage consumers to sent their empty pouches, free of charge, to TerraCycle who then “UpCycles” the pouches into new items like bib, splat mats and diaper bags. TerraCycle also donates $.02 to various charitable organizations for each returned pouch.

I do not have babies in the house to try these meals, but just looking at them, I’m wishing my girls were still little enough to try them out. I can’t wait to see what my friend’s little boy thinks about them though!!!
