I Still Love My Crocs & a Giveaway!

**This giveaway is now closed! **

DSC_0002

Regardless of what the news is saying right now about the impending doom of Crocs… which I whole heartedly believe is not true…. I still love my Crocs…

The news media would have you believe that people think that Crocs are ugly, and too expensive and pointless. That they’re losing money faster than they can make it, and on the verge of dying out. While sales may or may not be slower, I think the failing economy is more to blame than the style of Crocs shoes. In fact, Crocs has some amazingly cute shoes, their prices are pretty reasonable, even better if you can get them at the outlet stores, and they are SOOOOO Comfortable! Since these media stories have come out, I’ve seen so many fans on the internet that it’s hard to believe that the company is so near the end like the media claims. I refuse to believe it.

I’ll admit, when the Caymans were the only shoe… I could not see the big deal. They are pretty weird looking shoes. Then something my husband has always said to me hit me head on. I always seem to wear shoes because they’re cute and not comfortable. He was right. I would buy the cutest heels and just endure the squished toes and burning heels. So I did more research, i.e. tried some on, and fell in love. I felt like I was walking on a cloud. I hadn’t found any insoles that could do that in my regular shoes. I also thought about something else. Almost all “cute” shoes will squish your toes causing other foot problems over time. The Caymans, weird as they looked, were wider and open allowing room for your toes to wiggle. I bought 2 pairs for the girls. I may have already messed up my feet over the 25+ years of squishing them into shoes, but I wasn’t going to do that to the girls. They quickly became their favorite shoes and wore them everywhere. I absolutely loved that I didn’t have to worry about them getting dirty! All I had to do was wash them in the sink. A Mother’s dream! Easy to clean shoes! I ended up buying myself some of the MaryJane style shoes. They were cuter than the Caymans, and very comfy. I wore them all summer and then around the house in the winter…

Over the years, I’ve watched the new arrivals at the Crocs website and drooled over various shoes. They have come out with some really cute wedges, sandals, canvas shoes and leather shoes. They’ve even come out with a sort of designer line called YOU by Crocs. I haven’t exactly been able to convince the hubby that I need these shoes yet, but I’m working on it. 🙂

A month or so back, Crocs sent me some of their newest shoes to try out, with no obligation to write about them. I only wish I hadn’t waited until now to do so. I was sent a pair of Cabana, Patricia, and Wake. My Hubby received a pair of Leather Tideline, and in a separate review request, my girls were each sent a pair of Rally.

I’ll break it down with photos here:

DSC_0003Since I was sent these specifically for a review… I’ll start with the Rally! I personally can’t comment on the comfort factor since they don’t fit my feet, but just from observing my girls, I’d have to say they must be really comfortable. They’re easy to slip on and off with their elastic no tie laces, and made of the Anti-microbial Croslite material inside. When the girls woke up from their nap and saw their new shoes, they were wide awake. They put them on and ran circles around house. Before I could tell them to shut the door, they were off and running around the backyard. They kept telling me that they could run really fast in these shoes… which just made me laugh. From a mom’s standpoint, they are pretty durable, yet flexible. They wash off very easily as their mud jumping has proven. They are a definite hit with my girls

DSC_0005My Cabana, Patricia & Wake (not pictured) are my favorite new shoes. I love wearing heels and wedges, but hate how hard the soles are, and my heels end up burning at the end of the day. The Cabanas are so cushioned, I can even run in them if I had to.. I’m not talking marathons or anything, but if I needed to chase down one of my girls, I could do it. I am now convinced that heels can be comfortable. The Patricia are awesome everyday sandals. They’re actually the first shoes I go for when we take off for the day out. I’ve worn them to the beach, shopping, just about everywhere. My Wake flip flops are always on hand too. When I can’t find my Patricia, I grab my Wake. I love how soft and flexible the sandals are. I almost don’t feel like I’m wearing shoes. I’ve received a lot of compliments on my Crocs. Many people can’t believe they’re Crocs… but they are!

DSC_0007Hubby’s Leather Tideline‘s are pretty comfortable too. I’ve been known to slide them on (although way too big) do run out to get the mail… Back in the Cayman only days, getting my hubby to buy a pair of Crocs didn’t happen. He didn’t know where he’d wear them. They weren’t exactly office type dress shoes. Since getting the Tideline shoes, he’s worn them out and around town, and has commented on how comfortable they are.

DSC_0004On our last trip to the Selma Outlets, we ran into the Crocs Outlet store and bought the girls some of the Minnie Mouse Mary Jane shoes. They absolutely went crazy over the Minnie Mouse shaped cutouts on them, They are a couple of huge Disney fans. I never knew that Crocs had an Outlet store.. but I’m so glad that they do!

So this is my response to all those media outlets calling Crocs dead in the water… They’re not! Stop telling everyone that there’s only one “ugly” style of shoe! Inform them that Crocs has many amazing styles… Many look absolutely NOTHING like the original Cayman shoes!

Oh.. and I almost forgot to mention.. I’ll be wearing my Crocs to BlogHer this year… I’m going for fashion AND comfort!

In case you missed it, Crocs CEO John Duerden also responded on the Crocs Blog… I think his letter was very well written, and very reassuring that Crocs will endure the media gossip.

So, while writing this post, I was got a hold of my contact over at Crocs about the article and I was given the go ahead to run a giveaway for my awesome readers.. Thank you Crocs!!!

** In the interest of full disclosure.. Yes, Crocs sent me several pairs of shoes. Only the Rally were for review. The others I just loved enough to tell everyone about. I’ve been a long time Crocs fan, and will continue to be as long as they are around, so whether or not I had received these shoes, this post would have been written. I was not paid for this post in any way. It is purely my opinion, take it as you wish.

  1. Love my crocs, my first pair were the original butter color ugly ones, I wore them to the pool, shopping, yard work and more, I loved those crocs, since then I have bought the slip on croc’s with the cute bow, and my boys were their crocs after baseball practice after the removal of their cleets. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. I don’t have any crocs yet but that’s because I didn’t know they had heels. I love heels and when I actually looked at the crocs website I realized they have some really cute styles.

  3. I avoided crocs at the beginning because they were strange looking. But then I found a cute pink pair and fell in love! They are wonderfully comfortable and give my feet a much needed break.

  4. I’ve never owned an official pair of crocs but have seen some cute styles lately like maryjanes… Son has a pair that he wore all last summer. I always wonder if they are comfy!

  5. I love Crocs! Whenever I used to walk a lot I would get blisters no matter what kind of shoes I was wearing. Now when I have to walk a lot I wear Crocs and blisters are no more! They were a life saver when my family went to DisneyWorld. I am not exagerating when I say they have actually made a positive difference in my life. They may have to downsize but I don’t think a company with loyal followers will ever fold like others are saying. Thanks for the chance!

  6. I have never worn crocs but I am seeing them on so many feet and they do look cute! My granddaughter has been asking for a pair. Thank you!

  7. I am so happy that Crocs is responding to the negative press! Go Crocs…way to stand up for yourselves!

  8. I can’t live without my Mary Jane Crocs in the summer time because my feet can breathe and I don’t get stinky shoe syndrome!

Thanks! foxsquirrelrabbit at gmail dot com

  9. I think Crocs are fabulous, and I am absolutely *dying* to try out a pair of their shoes that are newer and not the original design. Negative press or not, they’re comfy!

    XOXO

  10. I have a pair of the Caymens, and they are very comfortable. I don’t wear them out often though because they are bright purple! But I just ordered a pair of Olivias (I think that’s the one I ordered) and I can’t wait for them to arrive. I need a comfy shoe to wear on my commute- and since I feel yesterday on the subway escalator, the antislip surface will be much appreciated. 😉

  11. Subscribed to email newsletter- done
Hubs has 2 pair, lemon yellow and brown. The kid and I got him the brown pair for his b-day 1 year. He had made fun of us when we wore ours. He tried them on and was over the moon with the comfort. Had to run right out and buy another pair that was a little flashier for his big ole feet. 🙂

  12. Following you on twitter and will tweet after I comment. 🙂 I love crocs because they are easy, comfortable, and cute. The kids have a hard time having to go back to tennis shoes when the school year begins. It’s soo sad.

For me I love the Alice crocs they were the only pair of shoes I took on vacation. I wore them out to eat, shopping, Sea World, and then a very fancy restaurant. I felt adorable and comfortable (6 months pregnant) the entire trip.

  13. This is a croc laden house. As soon as it warms up That’s about all you see on our feet because they are so cozy. I have 2 pair, hubs has 2 pair and the child currently has 3 pair, but has outgrown several other pair over the years.

  14. I bought my first pair of crocs last summer. The only kind they sell around here are the Cayman’s, which I thought were ugly. Still, my feet hurt, so I thought I’d give them a try.

After a comfortable year in my Cayman’s, I ordered Croc’s sandals for my daughter and I for our trip to Disneyland this year. 5 days of being on our feet ALL DAY, and our feet didn’t hurt at all! I’m a Croc’s convert!

I’m also subscribed to you, following you on Twitter, and I tweeted this giveaway!

  15. OK, I’ll bite. I’ve never bought crocs – but I got some free ones after blissdom. They’re the slip ons with the fuzzy inside. I loved them. They were PERFECT for the school drop offs and such, easy to get on and off, but still warm enough for the weather. I can’t wear them now, of course (too hot.) I am most definitely curious to try some of their other styles.

  16. So I love my crocs. After living in Hawaii for 3 years amd being pregmamt with our 3rd child nothing else fit. Now that we are in NC that is still all I where. Gets kind of cold in the winter but socks work good for that.

  17. I’ve promised the 12 yo a trip to the Crocs store in Albertville. Her 2 pair of Caymens are getting too small. I know she’ll feel faint when she walks in the door and sees the full color range on the wall. She’s all about Croc comfort and fab colors.

  18. I’ve never worn Crocs. I’m sooo very curious though, because all my bloggy friends (such as yourself) rave about them! It’s like, the only shoe I hear ya’ll talking about. I’ve heard nothing BUT Crocs since BlissDom. So I’d love to win so I can see what’s so great about them!!!

  19. Love my crocs! I have two pair – ‘summer’ and ‘fall’ – the fall ones are fleece lined – oh, baby, warm and toasty. And I just ordered my son a pair for work – his fellow employees recommended them!

  20. I am a subscriber! I recently bought my daughter her first pair of Crocs (Cinderella mary-janes). She LOVES them. She will not let me put any other shoes on her!!! I just ordered her another pair, Minnie Mouse this time.

  21. I have several pairs of Crocs and am always happy when I have extra money in the bank account to get more. I’ve had three pairs of the prima, three pairs of Alice, a pair of malindis, and my mom just bought me a pair of the Lena pumps while she was at the outlet store. I’m also coveting the Troika for winter, as well as the cabana, olivia, sassari, and the celeste. I have high arches and previously had to put insoles in every single pair of shoes I owned. However, Crocs are supportive and whether or not they have a high arch, no insoles are needed. I also like that if they don’t fit quite right, I can throw them in the dryer or give them a blast with my hair dryer to make them soft so they mold to my feet. If will be SO SAD if Crocs goes away. I don’t really buy any other kind of shoes now. Hooray for Crocs!

  22. I love Crocs. My kids love Crocs. The reason why is simple…comfort! When you are on your feet ALL DAY LONG, the last thing you want is tired, sore feet. You don’t have that when you wear Crocs. Whether you are working, shopping, site-seeing…if you are wearing Crocs, you’re good.

Another thing I really love about Crocs when it comes to my toddler is how easy they can be cleaned. I simply take a wet wipe and wipe them out…they are good as new!

  23. I just bought my first pair of Crocs in April and fell in love immediately. I have the Mary Janes and I love them. I have an active 3 year old and 8 month old and I love that I’m able to run after them, but still have cute shoes. I really want to get a pair in black so they’ll go with everything.

I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I win. 🙂

  24. I just got my first pair of crocs about a week ago. I was surprised to learn how many styles they have! I had thought they only had thoes clog ones which i honestly hate! I got the captiva flip flops in the white and fuschia and absolutly lovve them. They are suprisingly cushiony on both the bottom and the strap. My bf didnt even believe me that they were crocs because they looked so nice!

  25. I love my crocs cause they were the only thing that I found to be comfortable while I was pregnant and I haven’t looked back since!! They’re my go-to shoes now!!

  26. I don’t own any Crocs 🙁 Went to the store while at BlogHer and about died. They have some that are totally awesome! Would love to own a pair. I have a 2 and 7 year old so we do a lot of walking at the zoo and such. I hear Crocs are COMFY!

    Thanks!

  27. I, believe it or not, do not own a pair of CROCS. I wish I did. What I hear most about them is the wide variety they have and COMFORT!! Comfort is the most important thing to me. I’ve browsed around and I’ve seen a couple of pairs I’d adore! (cotton candy pink/oatmeal)…. I’d like to see for myself just how comfy they can be.
