A Sweet Father's Day Idea!

So this year, I was given a great idea that I just might have to borrow. Daddy has been saying he wants to go out with the girls to play mini golf or just hang out and have a good time somewhere fun. Well, the weather has been pretty warm lately, and something cool and refreshing at the end of the day is always an order!
Before we moved, we used to treat the girls to a Wendy’s Frosty every once in a while when we went to Fry’s to check out electronics. Well, they loved that, and we loved seeing their smiles as they were enjoying them.
We found a Wendy’s not too far from our home, so this year, while we’re out and about on Father’s Day, we’ll probably stop by and grab a Frosty for everyone.

Did you know that  for the past three years, Wendy’s has made it a Father’s Day Weekend tradition to donate 50 cents from the sale of each Frosty to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The money raised goes to the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, which funds full-time adoption recruiters at local agencies across the U.S., who in turn pair up parents with foster care children needing homes. What a better way to help other less fortunate children, than to take your family out to enjoy a tasty (and affordable!) Frosty together. It’s awesome to know that this campaign assists children across the country in finding a family of their own, so they can enjoy Father’s Day someday too.

There’s more! Get the kids involved in helping the Dave Thomas Foundation too! They can go to FrostyCard.com and create some cool Father’s Day eCards. For every card they send, Wendy’s will donate 25 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation. They can even attach coupons for “taking out the trash” or “washing the car” onto the cards for Dad. What Dad wouldn’t appreciate some help with the chores!
