Summer is in full swing which means lots of outdoor activities! From exploring the local area or friends and family gatherings to all those DIY projects that you absolutely have to get done, there are a lot of ways to spend your time outdoors. This Summer has been a particularly hot one, so this has led to quite a few creative ways to cool off after being in the sun all day.
Here are a few ways we like to chill out after a long, hot day!
1. I’ve stocked up on the 32oz Insulated Party Cups! These are big enough that I can sit and enjoy a drink before I have to get up again. They’re great for any kind of drink too! Water, Margaritas, you name it, it will work in this cup… and they’re fun for parties because they can become party favors for your guests! If you have access to vinyl and a cutter like I have a Silhouette Cameo, you can make all kinds of cute designs and sayings and stick them onto the cup for fun! At only $1.76 on Rollback, these are an inexpensive alternative to disposable cups and you can have fun designing them!
2. Set up a swimming pool! Don’t want to travel to the local pool, or pay the fees for that big water park? Even a small pool will help you all cool off in the heat wave! Walmart has a great selection of swimming pools to fit any size yard and any budget! Many of them are on Rollback right now, so grab one and get some huge savings! If you store it properly, you’ll be all set for next year too!
3. Picnic outdoors in the shade! We love our Mainstays Lawn Blankets! These blankets are water resistant, and they fold up into a small zippered carrying bag so that you can store and transport it very easily! We keep these in the car at all times just in case we head out to the beach, or want to run to the park and hang out under the trees. We even keep them handy for our 4th of July events in case we run out of chairs! At only $12.92, they’re a great deal since they are so useful!
4. Fans are a must have! When the Air Conditioning needs just a little bit of help circulating that cool air, a fan is perfect to cool off the house even more. They’re great for saving some money on your electric bill too! If you get a cool evening, open up the windows, and turn on the fans!

Whether you use the premixed packets and just add milk, or make your own recipe from scratch, you’re going to have some fun with this machine!
