How Does Your AeroGarden Grow?

I wrote a few weeks ago about receiving the Aerogarden to check out, and getting started with an indoor garden. Now that I’ve had some time to let it grow, I’m really excited about Spring Time!

How does it work? Well, pretty well as far as I can tell. Within just a few days of posting the first time, the dill started to sprout. A couple of days later, the basil did too. It took about 4 weeks, but the curly parsley finally started to sprout. Phew! Now we have some serious roots happening!

We haven’t reached a point where we have enough growing to harvest for use, but it’s just going to take a little bit more time.

I’ve owned the old 7 pod Aerogardens before, and after using them once, put them away, only to never use them again. Why not? Because they took up SO MUCH counter space. Space that we just didn’t have to spare. The Aerogarden 3SL is awesome though! It takes up such a small amount of counter space that I barely notice that it’s there! It can sit against the wall, or perpendicular to the wall, and still not impede on our counter area.

I honestly can’t wait to get to gardening season now! My plan is to start the plants in the house, and then plant them outside in the garden for longer term growing. In the meanwhile, we will enjoy these herbs inside. It’s too perfect, since my biggest problem is remembering to water plants we have here.

The Miracle-Gro AeroGarden 3SL with Gourmet Herb 3-Pod Seed Kit is a special buy and available now at your local Walmart Stores, and online at Walmart.com for just $49.97. If you know someone who loves to garden, or has been wanting to give it a try, this would be a perfect gift for them this holiday season.

Do you have any experience with the AeroGarden? Would you try it? What are your thoughts?
