DIY- Crochet Snowflake Table Runner

I love to crochet, and I really love it when I can use some of my projects for decorations in the house. I really haven’t had the time to do many crochet crafts lately, but I found a pattern that I just had to try out.

I found this Snowflake Table Runner crochet pattern on the Red Heart Website, and thought it would look so pretty on our dining room table. I headed out to my local Walmart store to grab some yarn, and while the pattern called for a certain yarn with gold in it, I preferred a plain white yarn for our room, so I picked up a couple of skeins of the Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn in White, and headed home. I already own several crochet hooks, so I didn’t need to buy any of those. I was getting this project done for less than $10, and just a bit of my time.

Here are a few photos showing you a bit about the progress of this table runner.

I had so much fun making this, granted, I was pretty much done with snowflakes after this project too. It did turn out really pretty though, and even though I didn’t use the yarn that the pattern suggested, I am really happy with the outcome! I think it looks really great on our mahogany dining table!

Make this yourself with supplies from your local Walmart, or online at Walmart.com and the pattern linked above from RedHeart! All in all, it probably took me a total of 3 hours to crochet 34 snowflakes…. Had I been able to work on it continuously, it would have gone a lot faster.

What do you think?
