My Kids Went Bananas for Yonanas!

My girls love ice cream. L-O-V-E it! I like it too, but it’s not always the best option when it comes to a snack or dessert treat. I am always looking for the “healthier” option, if there is one, and I think I may have found one!

Yonanas is a fun, easy appliance that turns 100% frozen fruit into a treat that looks, tastes, & feels like soft-serve ice cream in seconds! Fun new colors now available at Walmart: Hot Pink, Blue, Red, Purple & Silver!

Get the family to eat more fruits and vegetables when they think they are eating dessert! Don’t throw away old bananas and fruit – freeze it and turn it into dessert in seconds!

It’s like having your own gourmet ice cream store in your kitchen! Everyone gets to create their favorite flavors and it’s so healthy you can eat for breakfast, lunch & dinner!

We were offered a chance to try one, and we jumped at it!

Our Yonanas machine arrived right before dinner time, and the girls were so excited to try it out. They had seen it in the store the day before, and were really excited to be able to get one. They couldn’t wait! We opened up the box, and got the machine parts taken apart and cleaned up so we could make something for dessert. Of course, we had to read the instructions to see how this thing worked. The only part that really had me was that we had to have frozen fruit already. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I wasn’t prepared. We had to wait for another time.

Luckily, we had some bananas in the house, so we peeled and froze them, and also prepped some other berries and fruits that we wanted to try. The next day, after they had time to freeze, we tried again. The first step was to let the fruit sit out to thaw for about 10 minutes before making our ice cream.Once the fruit was ready, I handed it over to my girls. I let them put the fruit in that they wanted and make their own ice cream. They loved it, and I was totally okay with it. The blades are fully enclosed and the plunger is used to push the fruit into the machine. This machine is totally safe for my girls to use on their own… which may mean they’ll be eating a lot of fruit soon…

After the girls finished making theirs, it was time to make one for the grown ups. We tried all kinds of fruit, including pomegranates, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. I didn’t add banana to mine, but it was still delicious. In fact, Yonanas.com has recipes for both bananas and no bananas. Some of the recipes look amazing, and we can’t wait to try them soon!

Yonanas is available in a big selection of colors, and for only $49.96 at your local Walmart store, or on Walmart.com.

Have you tried Yonanas yet? Let me know what you think about it!
