Walmart Moms Book Club- Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street Brides

I usually have a difficult time trying to find time to read a book. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy reading as much as any other bookworm.. it’s really just finding the time to read and enjoy something and soak it all in.

The book that this post is all about was one of those books that I *Made* time to read. When Walmart asked which of us moms were interested in a review of Debbie Macomber’s newest book Blossom Street Brides, I, very quickly, jumped into that group. I remember her writing from my previous review of Rose Harbor in Bloomand knew that I would probably like this one too. Boy was I right. This book had me so glued, I actually finished it in two days. I could not put it down.

As with her other books, there are a couple of stories within the main story. Blossom Street Brides is a book, based in Seattle, WA, that focuses on Lauren Elliott, who has been waiting years for her boyfriend Todd, to propose to her,  Lydia Goetz who is a great wife and mom and runs a Yarn store that is barely staying above water, and Bethanne Scranton, who is blissfully in love with her hubby, Max, but is having a tough time with her long distance marriage, since Max’s job keeps him in California’s wine country.

So, about Lauren. As I said before, she’s been waiting for Todd to propose to her. Todd has been waiting till his life, and career, falls into place. Lauren is tired of waiting and takes matters into her own hands, but not in the way you think.

Lydia loves her yarn store, but her mind is in so many places right now, between her adopted daughter having strengthening nightmares, and her mother’s health beginning to fail, the yarn store is surviving, but barely. She’s perplexed as baskets of yarn start appearing in various places around town with yarn, knitting needles, and instructions to knit a scarf for charity and then return them to her Yarn Shop. She has no idea who came up with this idea, but she loves them!

Bethanne is now married to the love of her life, after a divorce from the father of her two older children. Her ex has tried, unsuccessfully, to get back into her life. Her son can see his shady ways, but her daughter stands by her father, even to the point of not accepting her mom’s new husband. As much as she wants Max to move his wine business to WA, she knows it’s hard, and accepts their long distance marriage, but it’s tough on her too. Max eventually sees how hard Bethanne’s ex is working on weaseling his way back in, and makes a decision with his business partner that will change everyone’s lives.

I want to say so much more about this book, but darn it, I can’t give it away! Just take my word for it… It’s a very sweet book that will keep you reading!

Blossom Street Brides  is not out in stores yet, but you can pre-order it from Walmart for just $15.28! That’s $10.72 off the regular Hardcover price!

Have you read any of Debbie Macomber’s other books? Let me know if you read this one, and what you think!!! I hope you love it as much as I did!
